A 1st/3rd person shooter game set in a procedurally generated environment comprised of a series of floating islands and procedurally placed tilesets and environmental pieces.
This game was developed in a group of 8 as part of my coursework for my final year of university.
I had two main roles within this project the first was the Procedural Environment Developer. This role saw me develop the entire Procedural Terrain system as well as take the responsibility for placing the subsequent environment pieces onto the terrain and ensure that everything was correctly synced between the different players across the network.
My second role saw me take the mantle of Project Manager where I planned out the various SCRUM meetings and subsequent sprints for the entire team to ensure a constant and successful development was maintained. Additionally, I was also responsible for maintaining the version control system for the entire group. This also required me to teach my entire team the importance of version controlling as well as teaching them the concepts of Git and how to use the GUI SourceTree for managing their work. I was also responsible for managing all of the branches, pull requests and merges submitted by my team members to ensure that the version controlling was correct.
